Getting Started with Hopeful Horizons ABA

At Hopeful Horizons ABA, we’re here to support your family every step of the way—from the initial consultation to the start of therapy. Our process is designed to be clear, compassionate, and collaborative.

Step 1

Reach Out to Us

Begin by contacting us through our website, email, or phone. We’ll schedule an initial consultation to understand your child’s needs and answer any questions you have. If you don’t yet have a formal autism diagnosis, we can provide a list of trusted evaluators in the DFW area and discuss the diagnostic process with you.

Step 2

Share Your Child’s Diagnostic Information

To proceed with therapy, we’ll need a copy of your child’s comprehensive diagnostic evaluation from a licensed MD or Ph.D. with an official autism diagnosis. If you’re in the process of obtaining this, we’re here to help guide you.

Step 3

Confirm Insurance Coverage

If you plan to use insurance, we’ll contact your provider to verify eligibility and benefits. If you prefer to pay out-of-pocket, we can discuss flexible payment options and skip this step.

Step 4

Develop a Personalized Treatment Plan

Once insurance is confirmed, we will schedule your child’s initial assessment. This assessment can be conducted in your home or, if necessary, at an alternative location arranged for the assessment outside of the child’s home. During the assessment, we will:

  • Observe your child’s behavior and skills

  • Conduct a parent interview to gather information about your child’s history and goals

  • Utilize standardized tools to assess strengths and areas for growth

Following the assessment, we will work with you to develop a personalized treatment plan, including recommended therapy hours and targeted goals. Your feedback is essential to ensure the plan aligns with your family’s needs and objectives.

Step 5

Begin Therapy

With the treatment plan in place, we’ll schedule the start of therapy. Our Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) and Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) will work with your child in your home, focusing on building skills in communication, social interactions, daily living, and more. Therapy is engaging and tailored to your child’s unique needs.

Step 6

Ongoing Support and Transition Planning / Center-Based

As your child progresses, we’ll regularly review goals and adjust the treatment plan as needed. When our center-based services become available, transitioning to the center will be a required part of the care plan. We’ll work closely with your family to ensure a smooth and supportive transition, prioritizing your child’s comfort and continuity of care.

"It is our privilege to support your child’s growth. Reach out to us today and take the first step toward a brighter, more hopeful future."
